From Coach Steve Reger
Negative 3* air temperature? No problem. Missing a quarter of your players due to illness and/or travel plans? No problem either.

It was a very cold and somewhat depleted IH Mock Trial team that limped into the 10th annual UC Mock Trial Invitational on Saturday, January 6. We were playing without several starters, and we got a brutal draw (playing the likes of Centerville (twice), Mason, Orange (twice), and Seven Hills), as we attempted to win this tournament for a 5th consecutive time.

While a "five-peat" was not to be, we did end up going 6-2 (raising our overall record to 11-3) and placed both 2nd and 3rd in this statewide tournament.

We won 4 of 8 possible outstanding attorney awards:  The honors going to Albert Kwon (11), Sarah Kaplan (11), Cameron Metz (12), and James Orr (12).

We also won 7 of 8 possible outstanding witness awards:  Those honors going to Sumner Colohan (12), Emily Sheard (12), Amitesh Verma (9), Emma Reyering (11), Gheric Lindberg (11), West Gardner (12) and Sydney Poffenberger (9).

Next up for us is the District tournament on Friday the 26th (which, according to both history and Chief Meteorologist Dr. Miles, will be our next best bet for a snow day).
