During the VEX state robotics competition in early March, in a field of 68 teams, Indian Hill High School’s two teams finished the qualification matches in a respectable 2nd and 14th place.
The “H” team finished with a perfect 7-0 record, one of only two teams in the field to be undefeated and in 2nd place. The “P” team finished with a 5-2 record and remained in a prime position to be chosen for an alliance in the finals.
Teams are assigned by random choice, and Indian Hill's 2nd place team ended up paired against the 14th place team, and thus rolled into the finals of the competition as a second seed, ready to compete.
After battling to the championship round, Indian Hill finished as state runner up, allowing them to compete at the VEX World competition in Louisville later this year.
