In the world of Ohio high school choral performance – it is the highest honor a vocal-student can achieve: Ohio All-State Choir. The number of Indian Hill High School (IHHS) students selected for the premier performance at Ohio Music Education Association’s (OMEA) state convention is unprecedented – eight Braves will take the stage!

“These students were chosen from hundreds of applicants from Ohio high schools to be part of the exclusive choir of around 100 singers,” said Jeff Clark, IHHS director of choirs. “I am so excited for our students; this is their moment to shine, and we will all be cheering them on!”

The IHHS Ohio All-State Choir students include:

Luke Castellini
Elizabeth Donnelly
Kennedy Frost
Nicolas Hollander
Louisa Klaserner
Gheric Lindberg
Jonah Sorscher
Caroline Sullivan

Additionally, the District congratulates IHHS Senior Rachel Volk who was selected for the Ohio All-State Orchestra. Volk plays the cello.

The students will perform in Cleveland early February 2019. Students had to satisfy several recording requirements to be considered, including performing a vocal/instrumental solo from OMEA’s selected pieces. Students were chosen based on a blind audition.

“This recognition is the result of the focused effort from both our students and our staff, and we could not be more proud,” said IHHS Principal Jeff Damadeo. “This team has shown the commitment to excellence that we value as a District, and we are excited for them to represent to the entire state what it means to be Brave.”
