What factors lead to allowing a student to flourish? How can these factors be enhanced?

Students who possess a number of positive strengths and qualities are said to be “flourishing.” Flourishing students display optimal academic, interpersonal, and psychological functioning – both now and later as adults. But what are these factors, and how do you as a parent ensure your child is benefitting from them?

This presentation, led by Dr. Rich Gilman of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, will provide data that can answer these important questions. Dr. Gilman is professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the director of school-based mental health programming. He is also the director of the Greater Cincinnati Youth Resiliency-Risk Project.
