Dr. Stewart’s Neighborhood: Driving the Indian Hill experience

For many Indian Hill students, they are the first Brave greeting in the morning and the final Brave goodbye to finish the day…and many of our bus drivers have safely transported the same students to and from home for their entire K-12 experience – some even drove their parents!

In the latest episode of Dr. Stewart’s Neighborhood, Superintendent Dr. Melissa Stewart introduces the Transportation Department professionals whose care, preparation, and expertise keep our Braves moving.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT = STUDENT LEARNING IN MOTION
Behind every route is a significant investment of time, skill, and coordination. Our Transportation Department:
•    Transports more than 1,200 students each day.
•    Travels approximately 1,600 miles daily in district buses and vans.
•    Completes more than 100 separate bus and van runs each day.
•    Maintains 35 buses, four vans, and seven service and maintenance vehicles, along with various maintenance equipment.
•    Completes more than 500 vehicle maintenance and work orders annually.

Their work supports our district’s commitment to ensuring every student feels known, challenged, and supported. A welcoming ride helps establish a sense of belonging. Reliable transportation connects students to opportunities. Careful preparation keeps safety at the center of every trip.

Join Dr. Stewart as we celebrate the Transportation Department and the essential role these professionals play in our Indian Hill School District neighborhood.
