At the heart of the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory is a simple but powerful belief: every student deserves the opportunity to discover joy, confidence, and purpose through the arts.
At Indian Hill, the arts are not an extracurricular activity—they are an essential part of who we are. The Arts Conservatory is not just a program for a select group of students; it is a K–12 experience designed to ensure every learner can find a place to belong, create, perform, design, collaborate, and grow through the arts.
From a kindergartener’s first exploration of color and sound to a senior’s final performance, exhibition, or portfolio, the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory provides exceptional opportunities for students to engage in visual art, music, theatre, dance, digital arts and media, and more. Accessible and aspirational at every level, our programs invite students to discover their talents, develop their voices, and connect meaningfully with the world around them.
Students may begin with foundational experiences in visual art, general music, and creative expression before advancing into specialized pathways that include band, orchestra, choir, theatre, dance, visual arts, digital media, and other emerging artistic disciplines. Across all grade levels, students have opportunities to explore a wide variety of artistic interests and discover new passions through coursework, performances, exhibitions, collaborative projects, and extracurricular experiences.
As the Conservatory continues to grow and evolve, students benefit from expanded learning opportunities, innovative programming, technology-enhanced learning environments, and experiences that reflect both the rich traditions of Indian Hill’s arts programs and the future of creative industries. Reflecting our commitment to belonging and opportunity for all learners, programs such as Unified Arts and Unified Dance bring students together through creativity, collaboration, movement, and shared artistic experiences.
As the leader of the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory, my focus is not only on artistic excellence, but on creating meaningful experiences that help students become courageous, compassionate, and creative young people. I believe the arts are transformative in all forms. Whether students are on stage, behind the scenes, in a studio, composing in a digital lab, creating visual artwork, rehearsing in the classroom, producing media content, or collaborating on multimedia projects, they are developing far more than artistic skill. They are learning perseverance, innovation, empathy, discipline, communication, collaboration, and the confidence to take creative risks.
The impact of arts education extends well beyond the classroom. Through performances, exhibitions, productions, festivals, showcases, artist residencies, community partnerships, leadership opportunities, and service experiences, students learn to share their work with others while developing a lifelong appreciation for creativity and expression. These experiences help students discover who they are, what they value, and how they can contribute to the world around them.
As a leader, I strive to bring energy, encouragement, and purpose to our Arts Conservatory community each day. I want every student to feel seen, valued, and inspired, and to know there is a place for them within the arts at Indian Hill. Each child brings unique gifts, talents, perspectives, and dreams, and it is our privilege to help students discover and develop those passions from kindergarten through graduation.
The greatest moments in education are often found in the joy on a student’s face when they achieve something they once thought was impossible. That joy drives our work. My hope is that every student who experiences the Indian Hill Arts Conservatory leaves with confidence in their voice, pride in their growth, and a lifelong appreciation for creativity, collaboration, and the power of artistic expression in all its forms.
At Indian Hill, every student is an artist, creator, performer, designer, storyteller, or innovator—we are simply here to help them discover which path is theirs.
Dedicated to the success of our Braves,
Amy Clark
